Youngest footballer to win £1million deal accused of rape
Former Manchester United wonderkid John Cofie appeared in court docket yesterday, January 23, after being charged with rape.
Cofie, 29, who turned the youngest footballer to win a £1million deal when Sir Alex Ferguson signed him for the youth staff aged simply 14, is accused of raping a girl at Trafford, Gtr Manchester, in 2019, alongside co-defendant Nathan Stuart.
The Ghanaian-born participant didn’t make a single look for United and left in 2013. He retired two years in the past and has since labored as a mentor for youngsters enrolled in a soccer program in Lancashire.
Cofie has since denied the rape expenses. The trial at Manchester Minshull Road Crown Courtroom is constant.
