“We sympathize with the politician on the dizzying impact of the defeat but advise him to refrain from actions that may disturb the peace of the state.
The APC in Lagos State has reacted to comments by Labor Party gubernatorial candidate in the state, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, dismissing the result of last Saturday’s guber election in the state which has saw the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, be declared the winner.
In a statement released by his publicity secretary, Seye Oladejo, the APC who described the Labor candidate as ”Chinedu” said it sympathized with him over the loss of the election but advised him to s abstain from acts likely to disturb the peace of the State.
Our attention has been drawn to the now familiar lamentations and hallucinations of Lagos State Labor Party gubernatorial candidate Chinedu Rhodes-Vivor about his victory in the March 18 election.
While we sympathize with the budding politician on the dizzying and dizzying impact of defeat, he is advised to refrain from actions that might disturb the peace of the state.
He threatened to render the state ungovernable if the election results did not favor his warped imagination. There is no doubt that his disposition to anarchy is not representative of the position of the true and well-meaning Lagosians. That’s not who we are.
The results of the gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections are a realistic and accurate reflection of the electorate’s preference.
It was a referendum on the remarkable achievements of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his team who excelled in the face of formidable odds.
It was a vote for tested, trustworthy, compassionate, and committed leadership rather than a childish, wasteful experiment that could only set our state back.
Lagosians have spoken eloquently and forcefully for a candidate who understands their expectations with the institutional experience to move our state forward.
While we understand the shock that came with the disappointment of the collapse of crude opportunism as a result of lying and propaganda, the experience of Chinedu’s previous four election defeats should come in handy.
We would like to thank the Lagosians who voted for our party as a sign of confidence to continue on the path of progress that has given our state a prominent place in the federation.
We want to assure everyone that trust will never be taken for granted. We will certainly fulfill our part of the social contract.
Our government will continue on the path of non-discrimination, inclusiveness, compassion and total dedication.
