The sister of the man who was
kill alongside his wife and their two children in the Ojuelegba container crash, claimed the family spent millions of naira before releasing their corpses for burial.

Pastor Emeka Okoli, his family and nine other passengers, died when a truck loaded with containers ran into a commercial bus at Ojuelegba Bridge in Lagos on January 29, 2023.

The remains of the family were laid to rest amidst tears and lamentations, in their home town of Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Speaking to Facebook after the funeral ceremony, Ijeoma said his brother’s death had opened his eyes to the reality of Nigeria and how “wicked” its leaders were.

She wrote;

The death of my brother and his family opened my eyes to the wickedness of this country and our leaders. We suffered at the hands of the Lagos State Government just to transport their corpse. We are spending millions before their bodies are freed.”

“I prayed bitterly with a broken heart that they would all meet the same fate, I mean all of them without exception. God will punish them all for the trauma they have caused my family, the suffering.

“They cut short the life of my brother and his family and put further stress on our lives, including our pocket. We know how far we’ve gone, including the lawyers involved before they even look at us. I pity only citizens who fight for it. mean politicians, they don’t like anyone. Nigeria is not a place to live, it is a death zone looking for who to kill.

“I never know that I will ever post these kind of heartbreaking photos on my wall. Emeka nwannem and his family are gone forever, their generation has been wiped off the face of this earth due to use…without government, Nigeria happened to us

“My brother and his family would have been alive and enjoying their lives today if they were in another country, but Nigeria cut their lives short. A prayer warrior and his family are gone

“An evangelist and his family are no more. Our pastor and servant of God left with his family. It was a crying fest that I can’t control myself but I keep asking God why? I have never felt so terrible and pained throughout my life. I miss you, brother. Farewell.”
