We have won this election and we will prove it to Nigerians
Labor presidential candidate Peter Obi has said he and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, won the February 25, 2023 presidential election and will go to court to “reclaim their mandates”.
At a press conference in Abuja yesterday, March 2, Obi said he had won the election and he would prove it in court. Speaking at the press conference, Obi said;
”The election we have just witnessed has taken place and the results announced as expected. This is a clear deviation from the electoral rules and guidelines as we were promised. This election failed to meet the minimum standard expected of a free, transparent, credible and fair election. This will be one of the most contentious elections ever held in Nigeria. The good and hardworking Nigerian people have again been robbed by our supposedly trusted leader.
The process by which people come into office is far more fundamental and important than what they do afterwards. It is my belief that if you are to respond to its excellence, the process you come to office must be excellent.
Let me assure you that we will explore all options to recover our mandate. We won the elections and we will prove it to Nigerians. Please don’t despair’.’
He called on all Nigerians to be peaceful and law abiding as he goes to court to “reclaim his warrant”.
