We are investigating the murder of an Abuja musician and 4 others
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command, FCT, said it is investigating the murder/murder of a popular Abuja-based musician Chop Boii aka Sempe and his producer along with two others in Gwarimpa, in the Abuja region.
News of the musician and three others killed by unknown persons at the Gwarimpa home went viral on social media on Wednesday September 28.
Confirming the incident, FCT Police Command spokeswoman DSP Josephine Adeh said police have since opened an investigation into the incident.
“Yes, we are investigating. This is a case of presumed culpable homicide, the wife of one of the deceased, a Blue Jack queen, had previously informed police that she did not know the whereabouts of her husband who had left home with a friend and all efforts to reach them proved abortive.
Upon receipt of this information, a team of detectives attached to the Gwarimpa division was mobilized to the scene where her husband and three other people were found dead in their pool of blood.
The bodies were taken to hospital for possible medical intervention but were confirmed dead by a doctor on duty.
The deceased has been deposited in the morgue at Kubwa General Hospital, quiet investigations have begun and emerging developments will be communicated later,” she said.
The incident happened when the late Chop Boii had gone to produce his latest music at his producer’s studio.
