Update: Suicidal Nigerian lady stable and receiving treatment at the hospital - Family and friends say

The young Nigerian woman, Onwuzuruike Chidera, who posted suicide notes on Facebook, is currently being treated in hospital.

Chidera, who was battling depression, posted the notes on her Facebook wall on Sunday, October 2, saying “they’re here to bring her home.”

Her friend, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, confirmed the latest development on Monday.

“Thank you my sister Linda for taking over the story. Onwuzuruike Chdera is now well and receiving treatment at the hospital.” he wrote.

A message posted on her wall says she is stable and surrounded by family and friends.

“Apologies for not being able to take all of your calls. The latest is that she has health issues. She is stable now, with family, co-workers and friends,” it read. in the message.

“Good evening to all of you. Thank you for your show of love and concern. Family members and co-workers are with CHIDERA now. She is stable. Please pray for her full recovery. God bless you all”

Meanwhile, in a Father’s Day message to her dad, Chidera, who graduated first class, revealed she had been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

“When I was first diagnosed with schizophrenia, this man cried so much I was scared. He went to the Holy Eucharist with me every day and prayed for me for about a month,” reads -on partly in the message.

“My dad, God bless him, is the kind of dad I wouldn’t trade him for another.
I know people would like Dangote and Otedola to be their father and less appreciate the one God gave them! It is to be ungrateful!

“I could still see my dad’s smile on my graduation day! We have our feuds and misunderstandings, but he’s still my dad and always will be! He’s ‘Nna Chidera First Class’. I was the first to have him in my family. did it for my father who always wanted to be a lawyer when he was a child too! I may not be a lawyer but I thrive in my field and thanks to this man who believed that training me was not a waste. Fathers matter.
