Troops rescue six hostages in Kaduna

Nigerian army troops have rescued six kidnapped victims from Chikun Local Government Area in Kaduna State.

State Commissioner for Homeland Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who disclosed in a statement on Monday, September 12, said the victims were rescued during mine clearance patrols conducted in the Kangon general area. Kadi.

According to him, the troops, as part of Operation Forest Sanity, embarked on a demining operation from Damba to Kangon Kadi and fired at identified locations of bandits around the forest of Kangon Kadi, Labi and the Udawa River.

The bandits fled the Kangon Kadi area under the superior firepower of the troops, leaving behind six kidnapped victims in their camp.

The victims were rescued by troops and are identified as Iliya Gide, Rabi Ali, Hussaina Gide, Pamela Barage, Naomi Nuhu and her baby.

Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i commended the troops for supporting valiant efforts on multiple fronts.
