Thieves Break Into Ogun Hospital Recently Opened By Osinbajo And Take Items Worth N3 Million Naira

Agents from the State Security Network, otherwise known as the Amotekun Corps, arrested three suspects in connection with the crime.
Amotekun State Commander David Akinremi, who confirmed the arrest to reporters in Abeokuta on Friday, March 17, 2023, said the suspects stole six 43-inch Hisense televisions, two 65-inch Bruhm televisions, three Bruhm fridges, a Midea fridge and three Lontor rechargeable standing fans, all valued at N3 million.
Akinremi said the prime suspect, an Ogunjembola Kehinde, led his gang to rob the hospital.
He said Ogunjembola was arrested following a burglary and theft complaint by a certain Kehinde Banjoko that unknown individuals broke into her residence while she was away in Lagos and stole several items household items such as generators, gas cylinder, pedestal fan, mattresses and mats, among others, worth approximately N500,000.
“Based on actionable intelligence, the prime suspect was arrested and after questioning admitted to having committed the alleged crime with another now at large. His admission led to the recovery of all items stolen from a certain Lawal Aliu who is the criminal receiver,” Akinremi said.
“While the investigation into the original complaint was still ongoing, intelligence received further revealed that the same prime suspect in this case, Ogunjembola Kehinde and his criminal gang were responsible for the break-in and theft of certain electronic equipment at the recently inaugurated 100-bed mother and child hospital, Ipérou.
“When he (the suspect) was confronted with this, he also admitted to having committed the offense with his co-accomplice in the initial case of burglary and theft reported by Banjoko Kehinde.
“So far, three suspects have been arrested in connection with this case while efforts are underway to apprehend other criminal receivers mentioned by the suspects in an effort to recover items allegedly sold to them,” it added. Akinremi.
