Rampant terrorists believed to belong to Fulani militias killed one person, injured eight people and burned down 19 houses in an attack on the community of Follon in Bokkos Local Government Area in Plateau State.
The incident happened on the night of Wednesday November 16, 2022, just 24 hours after the terrorists kill eleven people including a family of nine and a recent graduate in Maikatako, a community under the same local government.
A source close to the village of Fallon, where the latest incident took place, said the terrorists had previously attacked four communities with the local government and burned down several houses.

“The village was completely ransacked by the terrorists and plunged into disarray for almost three hours. At the end of the deadly operation, 19 houses were burnt down, one person was killed and eight others lost their lives. Those with gunshot wounds are currently being treated at Bokkos Hospital,” the source said.
Meanwhile, the Plateau State Peacebuilding Agency has expressed concern over the recent attack in Bokkos Local Government Area and called on the people of the state to collectively unite to fight against insecurity.
In a statement signed by its managing director, Mr. Joseph Lengmang, the agency offered its condolences to the victims and their families and described the ugly tendency of some people to take laws into their own hands as an ill wind that only benefits the victims. nobody.
He therefore commended the security agencies for their swift action and efforts to deal with the situation and implored them to redouble their efforts and work with stakeholders to prevent further deterioration.
