Take MC Oluomo’s Election Threat as a Joke – Nigeria Police Spokesperson Adejobi Olumuyiwa Says (Video)
The Nigerian Police have reacted to threats made by the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, against Igbo people in the state ahead of the gubernatorial election .
Force spokesman Adejobi Olumuyiwa described MC Oluomo’s threat against Igbos as a joke.
A video had surfaced online showing MC Oluomo threatening Igbos in Lagos State not to vote for another political party. Show here
MC Oluomo said Igbos who do not vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC, should stay at home.
Reacting during an interview on Channels TV, Force’s public relations officer said no one has the right to prevent the people of Lagos from voting for the candidate of their choice.
He said: “I saw a video of MC Oluomo with a Chidinma mum – an Igbo woman debunking this threat, that it’s not true, it’s just a joke he was making with a particular woman. So let’s take it as a joke, like he said.
“But no one has the right and the audacity to tell Nigerians not to come and vote; it is not allowed and not appropriate. MC Oluomo has come out to debunk it, so let’s just say it’s not true.
“Lagos Commissioner of Police has debunked it, and MC Oluomo himself has done the same, so Lagosians should go out and vote for the candidate of their choice.”
