Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze nominated for La Liga Player of the Month for March
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has been nominated for La Liga Player of the Month for March after his impressive performances for Villarreal.
The Nigerian striker has scored or assisted six of Villarreal’s last seven league goals, and his recent form has earned him a place among the league’s best players.
Chukwueze’s nomination for the prestigious award comes after he scored a superb volley to open the scoring in Villarreal’s away win at Osasuna at the weekend. The goal takes his tally to 11 goals and 11 assists this season, making him one of the most effective attacking players in the league.
Chukwueze will battle for the prize with Celta Vigo’s Iago Aspas, Real Betis’ Borja Iglesias, Getafe’s Enes Ünal, Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, Barcelona’s Raphina and Manchester City legend David Silva.
The Nigeria international will be looking to continue his fine form and help his side secure another vital win when they face Real Sociedad on April 2.
