Soldiers arrest 140 political thugs with weapons and ammunition in Enugu
Soldiers providing security in Enugu State for the gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections reportedly arrested 140 thugs with weapons and ammunition in the university town of Nsukka in the local government area of Nsukka.
About 140 political thugs were arrested by soldiers deployed in Enugu to provide security for Saturday’s gubernatorial and State House of Assemblies elections.
The thugs were arrested with weapons that suggested they were aiming to disrupt the election.
They were found to have been nabbed at a popular Carolina hotel, Nsukka, in the Enugu North Senatorial District.
In another development, three thugs were arrested at the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Nsukka.
