Singer, Brandy hospitalized with ‘possible seizure’ following medical incident at her Los Angeles home
Brandy was reportedly hospitalized in Los Angeles after possibly suffering a seizure.
The American singer and actress was at home when the medical emergency occurred, with an ambulance being called at noon local time on Tuesday, October 11, according to TMZ.
She appears to be recovering, according to the outlet, with her parents with her in the hospital.
The outlet noted that it was unclear if there were other health issues that led to the medical emergency.
Brandy is currently still in the hospital, according to TMZ.
Their insider believes the star suffered a seizure, but this has not been confirmed.
The health emergency came just days after his younger brother Ray J, 41, raised the alarm over distressing content shared on his Instagram.
In the since-deleted posts, a video showed the star’s legs dangling over a ledge as he asked if he should “just jump”.
A source told TMZ that Ray J was drinking at the time and is fine now.
The star uploaded a throwback to her and Ray J on her Instagram shortly after from when they were kids, “Need you bro.”
The Brandy singer suffered a similar incident in June 2017, when she was taken to hospital after being found unconscious on a Delta flight that was supposed to travel from LAX to JFK.
Delta and an LA County Fire Department spokesperson confirmed to ET at the time that a passenger was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The singer’s rep told ET in a statement that Brandy was released from the hospital after she lost consciousness during a robbery, and was “home resting.”
“She has traveled extensively with an ongoing tour and several personal appearances. In recent days she has taken over 10 long-haul flights, including overseas,” the Brandy rep said. “She was in the studio all night last night until it was time for her to leave for the airport to catch a flight at 5:45.”
“The stress of all that travel and endless work has worn her down,” the statement added. “She’s going to relax for the next few days.”
