“See what the Lord has done”, reacts Alex Otti after winning the election of Governor of Abia State
Abia State Governor-elect Alex Otti of the Labor Party took to Twitter to react after being announced the winner of the state gubernatorial election.
After days of deadlock, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that Otti will be the winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election in Abia State on Wednesday, March 22.
Reacting to his win via his official Twitter account, Otti pledged to serve Abians wisely for the next four years.
He wrote, “See what the Lord has done.
He added in another tweet: “With deep humility and a deep sense of responsibility, I wholeheartedly accept your mandate to be your chief servant for the next 4 years.”
Otti got 175,467 votes, while his closest rival Ahiwe got 88,529, according to INEC.
Otti’s victory caused jubilation in the streets of Umuahia and other parts of the state.
