Samuel Kalu Ojim (born 28 August 1997) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a winger for EFL Championship club Watford and the Nigerian national team Super Eagles.

Samuel Kalu was born on the 28th day of 1997 in Aba, Abia State, which is part of the States of the Southeast Geopolitical Zone of Nigeria.
At GBS Academy in Jos, Nigeria, Kalu started playing football. On December 9, 2015, Kalu agreed to sign a two-year contract with AS Trencin from Slovakia, a club which was a partner of the GBS Academy at the time. On February 27, 2016, he made his professional debut for Trenn against Slavic Bratislava.
After putting in a strong performance for Trenn in the Slovak League on January 4, 2017, Kalu was transferred to KAA Ghent of the first level of Belgium. On August 6, 2018, Kalu signed a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 side Bordeaux. Upon his arrival, the jersey number 10 was given to him. Kalu has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Premier League side Watford. He declared the contract on January 26, 2022, which was due to expire in 2025.
He scored his first goal for the senior Nigeria national team against Libya on October 13, 2018, in his first international match. In a 4-0 win, he scored the final goal.
Kalu passed out while taking part in team training for the 2019 CAN, which took place in Egypt. Although there were rumors that he had a heart attack, this was eventually debunked as he actually collapsed due to extreme dehydration. Later, he was allowed to leave the hospital and travel to Alexandria to meet the rest of the group.
