Real Madrid star Karim Benzema publishes list of his achievements from last season after losing FIFA Best award to Lionel Messi
Real Madrid star Karim Benzema is clearly not happy to have been snubbed for ‘The Best’ FIFA award after Lionel Messi scooped it on Monday, February 27.
Benzema previously posted a video on Instagram immediately after Messi scooped the award, featuring a man who can be heard saying, in Benzema’s native language, ‘Liar, yes, liar’.
This message was accompanied by the words “good night” in the caption at the bottom of the video.
The Frenchman once again displayed his annoyance at finishing second in the individual award standings for the best player in the world over the past year.
World Cup-winning Argentina captain Lionel Messi clinched top spot after his national team exploits, while Kylian Mbappe finished third in voting.
Benzema’s latest social media update saw the 35-year-old’s list of all his personal and team achievements over the past year in an apparent dig that he should have won the individual honour.
