A Nigerian, Arinze Uzoagu, advised men to protect their wives from social pressure and stigma related to the issue of infertility.
Mr Uzoagu from Anambra State and his wife, Chinaza Blessing, welcomed quadruplets, three girls and a boy, in early April 2022 after a six-year wait.
“Infertility is enough of a problem for a person or a couple going through it. Infertility is enough pressure for people going through this phase of life,” he said on Thursday, September 15.
“They need happiness and love to conquer. What they don’t need is extra pressure from family and friends. You can suggest possible solutions to them, but do it with love and a subtle approach.
“Exclusive to men (this paragraph). It is your duty to protect your woman from the pressures of society and your family or even her family or her friends.
“Exclusive to women too, don’t let infertility frustrations turn you into a wreck. Always strive to make your home a peaceful environment.
“Infertility is enough pressure, show love to those around you who are in this situation…never make fun of a man or a woman for not having a child”
