Poll workers say as they protest INEC result (video)
Election officials in Imo state wonder how the results were fabricated in areas where elections did not take place in the state.
According to election officials, the elections did not hold in some areas of Oru West and Ohaji-Egbema LGA of the State, but the results came from these areas.
They said election materials did not arrive in these areas and voters left without voting.
Election officials questioned where the election body, INEC, got the results they announced in the regions from.
IMO election officials took to the streets to protest the INEC results.
“I have 12 polling stations, no election was held in any of them,” an election worker said at the protest.
Meanwhile, the Federal Representative representing Oguta/Ohaji-Egbema/Oru West Constituency, Hon. Kingsley Uju said the electoral process was full of irregularities and he demanded the cancellation of the elections in his constituency.
Hon. Uju also alleged that the state government threatened his life and that of his family members.
