Police recover body of 23-year-old man killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Bayelsa community
Bayelsa State Police Command found the body of a 23-year-old man, Victor Anozie Alex, who was allegedly killed by suspected herdsmen in the Okordia Clan community of Okumoni, Government Area local of Yenagoa of Bayelsa State.
Alex’s decomposed body was found in the bush after a team of local residents scoured the bush for missing members of the community following the herdsmen’s attack.
Two leaders of the Zarama and Okumoni communities, both from the Okordia clan, were reportedly killed while several others were injured in the attack by rampaging herdsmen last week.
The body of another man identified as Bob Wilson of Okumoni was also found on Monday March 20. The victim was horribly murdered by killer shepherds at Sam Lake.
