Kenyan police have arrested a certain Thomas Muthee Ng’ang’a on suspicion of being behind the brutal murder of her lover, Naneu Muthoni.

Muthoni, 31, was found dead at the suspect’s house in Onyoka Estate, Lang’ata, a few meters from her family home, on Monday, November 14, 2022.

She had been missing for two days before her lifeless body was found lying on a sofa, with a deep cut on her forehead and blood seeping from her nose.

According to reports, Naneu’s autopsy revealed that she had been beaten with a blunt object and a sharp object had penetrated her skull and then her brain. His body also had multiple wounds, showing evidence of assault.

Her parents told the media that they were not comfortable with Naneu and Thomas’ relationship after learning that he constantly beat her. They had tried to talk her out of getting back together with Thomas, but the couple continued their troubled relationship

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations, DCI, in a statement on Friday, November 18, 2022, said Ng’ang’a was arrested along the Kenya-Uganda border in Malaba, where he had been hiding since the murder had been reported.

“The main suspect behind the brutal murder of a certain Naneu Muthoni, who was found murdered in her house on November 14, in Onyoka estate, Langata sub-county, has been arrested,” the statement said. .

“During the 48-hour operation by detectives from the elite Nairobi-based Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) and their counterparts from DCI Langata, the suspect who had the hunch that detectives were on his trail was drunk to the bone hoping to run from one tavern to the next in exasperation”,

“The suspect is believed to have orchestrated the horrific murder of his lover whose lifeless body was found lying on a sofa, with a deep cut on her forehead and blood oozing from her nose.

“Blood splatter patterns were also visible on the walls and floor of the one-bedroom house, which was documented conclusively by detectives from the forensic investigation unit at the scenes. of Crime, based at the DCI National Forensic Laboratory.

“At the time of the suspect’s arrest, personal effects belonging to the deceased were recovered from him.

“The suspect is currently being treated at Malaba police station before being transferred to Langata police station, where he will be charged with murder contrary to article 203 read with article 204 of the penal code and presented in court to answer for his charges. felonies.”
