Peter Obi officially files a petition to the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (video)
Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has formally filed a petition in the Presidential Electoral Tribunal as he challenges the result of the February 28, 2023 presidential election.
The Labor Party’s Obi-Datti presidential campaign chief spokesman, Dr Yunusa, revealed as much during his appearance on Arise TV this morning on March 21.
“I can tell you categorically that we have submitted and filed our case against the election which took place on February 25 and it is official.”
On whether the party was able to inspect all BVAS bimodal voter accreditation systems used in the election, which is necessary to pursue their case, Tanko said.
”No, but the INEC was able to give us a summary of what was said that day. The lawyers have made it clear that we will get whatever we can get from INEC and we will demand the remaining document needed by the legal team to proceed with their case.”
