One killed by security agents in Niger
A middle-aged man was shot dead in Niger state on Saturday March 19, after he and others engaged security guards in a fight.
It has been established that the deceased and other fired missiles at security guards at a polling station in the Sauka-kahuta neighborhood of Minna, the Niger state capital.
The corpse of the deceased was hastily carried away by his colleagues, although it is still unclear what led to the incident.
EFCC agents also arrested an agent of one of the political parties for alleged vote buying in the Sabongari area of Minna.
The officer was reportedly caught paying money to some voters in the voting unit and taken away.
