Labor Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba Ahmed are currently visiting the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
The former governor of Anambra State was greeted with cheers as he entered the palace with the Ooni.
“Okwute! Obi! the palace youths shouted as Obi made his entrance with the Ooni of Ife.
The visit comes nearly 24 hours before the official kickoff of political campaigns.
Political party public campaigns would officially begin on September 28, 2022, as set by Sec. 94(1) of the Elections Act 2022.
