Ohanaeze Ndigbo drags Governor Soludo before the deities for criticizing Peter Obi
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, says it dragged Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo to the deities because of his statement on Labor Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi.
Soludo, in a long article had lashed out at Obistating that he knows he cannot and will not win the 2023 presidential election.
In the article titled “History is Calling Me and I’m Not Silent (Part 1),” Soludo added that the LP standard bearer was just playing games.
Ohanaeze, in a statement signed by its secretary general, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, on Tuesday, November 15, said he dragged Soludo to two deities in Igbo country, for discrediting the legacy of Peter Obi.
“Ndigbo dragged Governor Soludo to the two famous gods and deities (Chokoleze in Mbaise and Ubiniukpabi in Arochuku) for his unreasonable public behavior,” the statement read.
“Governor Soludo’s actions are ridiculous, unreasonable and premature; there was no place for the Governor’s outburst and the sanctions against Soludo to deal with the Igbo deities will serve as a deterrent to the South East politicians who have been hired by Ndigbo’s enemies and Nigerians to derail Obi’s presidency in 2023.
“Governor Soludo came forward and accused himself of treason when he discredited the APGA and Labor Party presidential candidates as non-viable alternatives to winning the 2023 election.
“How can a state governor of two presidential candidates (APGA and LP) make such a public statement?
“He has confirmed that he is the number one enemy of the new Nigeria and has been hired by an unpopular presidential candidate who is looking for Igbo politicians to curtail Obi’s popularity ahead of the 2023 elections.
“We advise Soludo to focus on the current crisis in Anambra State and APGA and to stop insinuating and slandering the person of Mr. Peter Obi. is not in the same political party as him and is not fighting the Anambra State Government.”
