Nyesom Wike dedicates PDP?s victory in Rivers State governorship election to God

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike dedicated to God the victory of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state gubernatorial election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday, March 20, declared PDP candidate Siminialayi Fubara governor-elect after beating runner-up Tonye Cole of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Announcing the result in Port Harcourt, the returning officer said Fubara got 302,614 votes while Pastor Tonye Cole came in second with a total of 95,274 votes.

Wike, speaking at Government House in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, said it was “only God who could guarantee this kind of victory for the party”.

Also governor-elect, Fubara promised not to disappoint the people of the state.
