NSCDC deploys 2,010 people for Ondo Assembly poll

The Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps has deployed no less than 2,010 personnel for Saturday’s House of Assembly elections in the state.

This was contained in a statement issued Friday, March 17 by the Command Public Relations Officer, Mr. Daniel Aidamenbor.

According to the statement, the Corps State Commander, Mr. Olatundun Olayinka, said Corps personnel had been deployed to strategic locations across the state to ensure a smooth election and cautioned the personnel against all partisanship.

Addressing the Corps which would be on duty for the election, the NSCDC boss said: “This is a national mission. It must therefore be taken seriously. Report to your assigned duty stations on time and without delay.

“We warn you against unprofessional conduct by engaging in acerbic practices that may harm the electoral process and affect your career.

The Commander urged them to be good ambassadors for the Corps by ensuring that their conduct did not violate its Code of Ethics and Ground Rules of Engagement.

“No fault will be accepted while wishing you all a good progress of the mission”, he accused.
