Nigeria’s Super Eagles drop in latest FIFA rankings
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have dropped in the latest FIFA rankings after a poor outing in September.
In the latest ranking released by world football’s governing body FIFA on Thursday, October 6, the Super Eagles have now fallen to 32nd in the world for October. The Super Eagles have lost 6.23 points after two bad games against Algeria during the last international break.
Nigeria, who lost one in Oran and drew the other against local side Desert Warriors in Constantine.
West Africans are now ranked 32nd in the world, but have retained the fourth position in Africa.
Meanwhile, at the top of the table, five-time champions Brazil remain the best footballing nation.
Brazil top the table after impressive outings against African giants Ghana and Tunisia in September.
Belgium’s Red Devils remain second, with Brazil’s South American rivals Argentina in third.
Former world champions France fourth and England fifth complete the top five ranked nations.
