A mum-of-two says going to pay her last respects to Queen Elizabeth is better than having her children.
A woman, Sarah and her partner Mark appeared on BBC One’s coverage of the late Queen’s state funeral on Monday morning September 19, where they revealed they were among the last people to view her coffin before d to be buried.
Speaking to presenter Sophie Raworth, Sarah said she headed to the mourners’ queue late on Sunday evening after begging her mother to help care for her children.
Describing the experience, Sarah said it was better than childbirth;
‘Amazing, I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. Even though I have my kids, Lily and Luca, I think it tops that. It was just amazing.
“I’m so glad we did.”
She explained that the trip to London was a last-minute decision.
“I couldn’t find anyone to take care of my own children, so I asked my mother,” she continued.
“It fell on us and we said we had to go.”
