Mother-of-three is killed by husband a week after posting video of him abusing her (watch)
A 30-year-old mother of three was killed by her husband just a week after posting a lengthy video of him abusing her in Buffalo, New York.
Keaira Hudson married Adam Bennefield, 45, in February this year and she took to Facebook to say it was the happiest day of her life. She also called Adam her “lifelong friend partner” and said he loved her “with every breath he took”.
Unfortunately, the syndicate quickly turned abusive and Keaira took to Facebook on September 29 to post a video showing him abusing her.
According to a friend, Adam had a bad temper long before their marriage, but he always apologized whenever he hit her and promised to change.
“Keaira’s family didn’t want her to marry him. They were so scared for her and tried to reach out to Keaira, but she felt fine,” the friend wrote on Facebook.
On September 28, Adam threatened Keaira at their home with a knife, brutally beat her, took her phone and refused to let her leave the house.
As she was bleeding on the floor after being beaten, he took pictures of her in her beaten state.
Keaira shared the video on Sept. 29 with the caption, “That’s what this man does to me but I’m still treated like I’m the aggressor.”
After this incident, she ran away from home with her children.
But Adam refused to leave her alone and threatened to kill her.
Adam was arrested and a restraining order was placed against him.
He was released from prison on Tuesday, October 4, and Keaira, who was hiding in her mother’s house, wore a bulletproof vest the whole time because she feared Adam would kill her.
“Mom, he’s going to kill me, don’t you understand,” Keaira reportedly told her mother when she asked her why she was still wearing a bulletproof vest.
Adam was arraigned in Cheektowaga Municipal Court on Tuesday, October 4 on one count of third degree assault, two counts of fourth degree criminal mischief, one count of second degree threatening, one count of unlawful imprisonment in second degree and one count of second degree harassment.
However, the prosecutor’s office claimed he was released on his own recognizance since the charges were eligible to set bail.
While Adam was released, prosecutors sought a temporary protective order to force him to stay away from Keaira.
Unfortunately, on Wednesday morning, October 5, Keaira was on her way to drop her children off at daycare when Adam crashed into her car as she approached the daycare.
He then jumped out of his vehicle and shot Keaira multiple times in the head as his children watched.
She died at the scene.
Police have now released a wanted person poster, asking for help in locating Adam.
Below is the video Keaira posted after Adam abused her a week before he killed her.
