Matawall loses his re-election to the PDP

Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State lost his re-election bid to Lawal Dare of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Returning officer for the election Prof Kasimu Shehu said Dare garnered 377,726 votes to defeat Governor Bello Mohammed Matawall who garnered 311,976 votes.
