Marvin Gaye III files for divorce two months after being arrested for domestic violence

Marvin Gaye III filed for divorce just two months after he was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at his wife.

It was earlier reported that Marvin III allegedly physically assaulted his wife and cousin during a January 12 argument inside his Calabasas home.

Wendy then obtained a restraining order against her husband after claiming that he caught her by the neck and lifted her off the ground before her cousin intervened, only for Marvin III to begin physically attacking the two women. Wendy also says that Marvin III pointed a gun at them.

He surrendered and was reserve on two counts; crime of assault with deadly weapon and misdemeanor of domestic violence. He posted $50,000 bond and was released.

Legal documents obtained by TMZ revealed that Marvin Gayethe son of the date of separation is January 12, which is interesting because it is the same date as his arrest for domestic violence.

Marvin III uses the usual “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and he asks to block the court’s ability to award Wendy spousal support.
