Manchester United legend Gary Neville has urged the club to eliminate Cristiano Ronaldo in the coming days after his explosive interview.
The Portuguese star, 37, in a recent interview with Piers Morgan, blasted the club’s board, owners, manager Erik ten Hag and his teammates in a shocking and emotional outburst.
Reacting, Neville said the Red Devils must terminate Ronaldo’s contract or create a dangerous precedent that any player can criticize the club without any repercussions.
He said: ‘No, and I don’t think he wants to go back. He wouldn’t have done this interview if he wanted to go back. He knew this interview would make headlines and end his Manchester United career.
“I wonder what Manchester United are doing because the reality is that they know they have to terminate Cristiano’s contract or else they are setting a precedent that any player can criticize in the future.”
“I agree with some of the things Cristiano said and a lot of Manchester United fans will agree with a lot of things Cristiano said, but if you’re an employee and you say those things, your job has to be. terminate.”
“Manchester United will undoubtedly have to do this in the coming days. Cristiano probably wants it too. Both (player and club) backed into a corner.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are awaiting the broadcast of Cristiano Ronaldo’s full interview before deciding on the fugitive player’s future.
