LP candidate acknowledges defeat and calls on elected government Caleb Mufwang
Labor Party candidate in the March 18 gubernatorial elections in Plateau State Patrick Dakum conceded defeat and called Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Caleb Mutfwang to congratulate him on his victory at the polls.
Results announced by INEC showed Mutfwang secured 525,299 votes to beat his nearest rival, Nantawe Yilwatda of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with 481,370 votes while Patrick Dakum of the Labor Party (LP) came far third with 60,310 votes.
In his appeal to Mutwang, Dakum wished him luck as the next governor of the state.
“I just called Caleb Mutfwang to congratulate him as Governor-elect of Plateau State and pray to God for him. May Plateau be the recipient of God’s blessings in the days ahead. The Labor Party will continue to work for a better Plateau.”
