Lawyer assaults client’s ex-husband in court
A dramatic scene was recorded at the Family Division of Milimani Court on Wednesday, November 16, as a city attorney assaulted a businessman who was being sued by his estranged wife over the maintenance of his ‘a kid.
Robert Asembo, who represented a lady who was also a civil servant, attacked his client’s ex-husband with kicks and punches in front of President Robert Mbogo’s room.
Asembo’s client demanded more than Ksh 600,000 for the upkeep of the businessman’s children.
The fight broke out as they waited outside the halls, shortly after the lawyer accused the businessman of inviting reporters to cover the case at the expense of his client.
After the attack, Asembo, former president of the AFC and former vice-president of the FKF, left immediately.
