Lagos local government officials accused of carrying out fumigation drill on vaccination day without notice and in the presence of mothers and children (video)
Local government officials in Lagos state have been accused of carrying out a fumigation drill on the day of the vaccination without warning.
Twitter user, @BusayoOtebata, who shared video evidence to corroborate the claim, said Egbe Idimu LCDA officials who allegedly lied telling those present to leave their area within the hour, sued fumigation even with nursing mothers and their children present.
The Twitter user also claimed he abused him and threatened to lock him up for making the video. He tweeted;
“I took my sister and my newborn for vaccination at Isheri (Alimosho) Roundabout Primary Health Care Center today and all of a sudden these government officials came in and started to fumigate the whole area without any notice to the mothers who were going there.
”They started kicking all the mothers out of the building and still claimed they told everyone to leave within just an hour which they didn’t tell anyone but they continued to work without considering the health of the toddlers inside the building.
“I got roughed up trying to make a video of the whole incident but luckily for me I wasn’t hurt and they also threatened to lock me up for making videos of what they were doing .
“My chest also hurts because I may have mistakenly inhaled their absurd chemical, but I’ll go treat myself now and I’ll definitely be fine.”
