Kidnappers abduct 19 INEC ADHOC staff in Imo, take away BVAS and other sensitive materials
Imo State Police officers rescued 19 INEC ad hoc staff who were abducted in the early hours of March 18.
The 19 ad hoc INEC staff were on their way to seven different polling stations in Ward 06 of Ugbelie in Ideato South LGA of Imo State when they were abducted.
State election commission spokesman Chinenye Chijioke-Osuji said the abducted staff were rescued after making a distress call.
She said the kidnappers took away election material, including BVAS and sensitive material.
