INEC officials refused to show up at VGC’s designated voting unit and asked voters to go to the express instead, actress Omoni Oboli reveals (video)
Omoni Oboli has taken to Instagram to sound the alarm after INEC officials allegedly refused to show up at the polling station in VGC, Lagos.
The Nollywood actress is waiting to vote alongside others like motivational speaker, Fela Durotoye and his wife, beauty entrepreneur, Tara Durotoye.
She posted a video on Instagram complaining that they arrived early and set up to wait for INEC, only for them to receive reports that INEC officials said they weren’t. would not enter the VGC and asked voters to meet them at the express.
Omoni explained that the place has always been the voting unit for all VGC residents. She then asked how thousands of people would have to walk to the express just to vote.
Other members of the voting unit are heard making the same complaint and wondering why INEC would do this.
