“If we can’t win, let’s draw. If we can’t shoot, let’s not lose too much
Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has revealed his side’s target as they prepare to face the star-studded Portuguese side who will be managed by Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
In an interview with a Lisbon-based radio station in Portugal, Peseiro said the Eagles will try to dominate possession and win the game as well.
The three-time African champions have failed to win any of their last 11 friendlies but will be hoping to stop the Euro 2016 champions at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon.
Speaking ahead of the match, the 62-year-old tactician said; “If we can’t win, let’s draw. If we can’t draw, let’s not lose too much. That’s the goal,” said the Portuguese as quoted by tsf.
“The games we want to play against the best teams. Otherwise, I could only play behind. I don’t know if Portugal will allow us and if we will be able to do what we want, but we want to play the game all over the pitch and also have the ball because we have players with the quality and ability for that.
