I refused to perform at the inauguration concert of Tinubu because N10m was sent to me but they wanted to give me N5m
Vocalist Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable said he did not perform at Tinubu’s inaugural concert held on Thursday, May 25 in Abuja as event organizers wanted to offer him 5 million naira instead of 10 million naira for his performance.
According to him, he was told that 10 million naira had been budgeted for him to perform, but he was only going to be paid 5 million naira.
In a video shared online, Portable said;
“Na moi sings Akoi Tinubu o. Do not vote for Obi una dey? Tinubu now enters these useless people who will play it, am I not promoting Tinubu? Na so they call my manager o. Tell them they want me to come and play for Abuja. Na 10 million drop them, but na five million will reach for the portable hand. Na so I disagree, I tear the paper. I’m deleting the number, are you crying Jesus? Na hin don’t make me play for Abuja o.
Other artists like Naira Marley performed at the concert attended by Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima.
