I have no information on the whereabouts of Tinubu – Keyamo
All Progressives Congress campaign council spokesman Festus Keyamo said he was unaware of the current whereabouts of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Appearing on a television channel on Wednesday evening, October 5, Keyamo said the controversy surrounding his manager’s whereabouts was sparked by troublemakers.
He added that no one makes a fuss when Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar visits Dubai.
Keyamo said;
“Our candidate is currently not in the country and I have no information on his whereabouts. I know he will be back in a few days but I don’t know the particular day.
“He’s not on a medical trip either; I have no such information. It is not true that we have not launched campaigns because the candidate is sick and is not there.
On whether Tinubu’s workout video which generated mixed reactions is new, he said;
“As far as I’m concerned, this was done in real time and posted to his Twitter account. This is not to prove he’s alive, we’re not trying to prove anything to anyone. Our candidate has no trouble proving himself to anyone, people who are close to him know that he is an avid cyclist, he does it all the time and it is his usual routine.
“I think what we want to prove this period is to correct malicious requests from troublemakers. We want to prove that the tail doesn’t wag the dog, it’s the dog that wags its tail.
“It’s not every time you ask cheeky questions, we would struggle to prove ourselves. We don’t dance to the beat of the opposition. We have our melody and our music and we would do with it what we We’re not going to react all the time to what the opposition does wrong.
“We are all aware that PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar travels to Dubai all the time, I don’t see any media intensity on what he is doing in Dubai. Every time he travels, no one remembers him until he comes back a week or two later. They know he is the candidate to beat and so the search light is on him and we are proud of that.
