“I will never regret my action to close the 8th Senate to stop the impeachment of President Buhari.
“Then I was the de facto chairman of Election Law, and after we concluded our report, Saraki and his cronies decided to change what we had passed and sent to the House of Representatives for concurrent consideration simply because they wanted to depose President Buhari.
“So I protested and arrested them, and the Saraki group said they suspended me. According to my understanding of the law, they don’t have the power to suspend me.
“Our group called the parliamentary group to support Buhari in the Senate, then made efforts to stop them, and I showed up unannounced and ended the session to stop the impeachment of President Buhari. I don’t regret the role I played.
