Labor Party candidate in Abia State, Anthony Chinasa-Abiola, who won a seat in the state Legislative Assembly, has dismissed allegations that he is of the Yoruba ethnic group. There has been speculation that he is a Yoruba man because of the Abiola attached to his name.
In an interview with TVC, Chinasa said he adopted the name Abiola solely to support Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labor Party’s candidate in the Lagos State gubernatorial elections.
He said Abiola attached to his name was just a ‘guy name’
