Gunmen kidnap teenage girl from Ondo community and demand N10m ransom

Kidnappers have demanded N10 million for the release of a 19-year-old girl, Adetutu Okibaloye, who was abducted from her home in Imoru, Ose Local Government Area, Ondo State .

The girl was discovered to be with her aunt Mrs Alaba Oga when kidnappers numbering around seven entered their building on Saturday March 18, 2023 and took her away.

A source told The Nation that the kidnappers used a cutlass to inflict wounds on the aunt.

The kidnappers then called the family to demand the payment of 10 million naira as ransom.

Another source said members of Ondo Amotekun’s corps were on the trail of the kidnappers.

State Police Command spokesman SP Olufumilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, who confirmed the abduction, said the city’s monarch called on Saturday to inform the DPD at the gathering center that three people had been attacked by armed men in their homes.

While two escaped, the third person, Adetutu Okinbaloye, was taken away, the PPRO added.
