Gunmen kidnapped 4 truck drivers from a farm on the outskirts of Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
Police stated the victims have been kidnapped by gunmen allegedly wearing navy uniforms at a web site they have been going to choose up sand they needed to produce to their clients.
The victims are believed to be members of the Oyun storage department of the Quarry and Sand Retailers Affiliation, Ilorin.
The abductors then contacted their households and demanded a ransom of 20 million naira for the 4 drivers.
State Police spokesman SP Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday January 18, stated the command was conscious of the scenario.
Okasanmi stated the police, along with one other safety workforce, together with Vigilants and native hunters, have been dispatched to all forests within the state.
“The kidnapping incident was true, 4 dump truck drivers have been kidnapped.
