Former National Human Rights Commission Chairman Chidi Odinkalu has alleged that Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State ordered soldiers to whip workers who arrived late at a site where he had come for an inspection.
Odinkalu, who shared a video to back up his claim, said the incident happened today October 4.
So today to Ebonyi, @GovDaveUmahi went for a project inspection and then asked the soldiers to whip – yes whip! – officials arriving late. Not done, Dave Umahi supervised the flogging. Tomorrow, he will be rewarded with a place in@NGRSenate
