Omari Forson, a 17-year-old Ghanaian player in the midfield, has signed his first professional contract at Manchester United.

Omari Forson, a teenage sensation from Ghana, has signed his first professional contract at Manchester United Premier League giants.
After playing in the reserve team, the young midfielder has been playing with the Red Devils for several years.
The 17-year old intends to be a member of the first team in the future.
Arsenal tried to sign the Manchester United midfielder last year but were unsuccessful.
He was then promoted to the Under-18s, and even though he was out of action for a while, the attacking midfielder proved his worth in United’s academy. In 13 games last season, he scored five goals and assisted five others.
He has been a star performer and will now play for the Under-23s in this season’s league.
If he is successful, he could be called upon to train with the first team by playing for the under-23s.
Forson, a Tottenham Hotspur player, joined Manchester United in 2019. His career began at West Ham United.
Forson is a highly-rated player at Manchester United’s academy, and has been a consistent fixture for the U-18s.
Despite suffering from injuries, the 17 year-old scored five goals in 13 matches last year.
Since then, the playmaker was promoted to United’s Under-23s where he will be playing alongside Anthony Elanga and Shola Shoretire.
After signing his first professional contract, Forson took to Twitter in his joy.
“I am happy to have signed my first professional contract with @ManUtd. He wrote: “A big thank you for all that supported and guided me throughout the journey.”
Born in London, the teenager is eligible to play for Ghana because both his parents are Ghanaians.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA), is working to get Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi to change his nationality from England to Ghana.
