Fears for actress Ruby Rose as she announces she is disappearing from social media due to traumatic birthday
Actress Ruby Rose has sparked concerns after announcing she was taking a break from social media due to her traumatic 37th birthday.
The ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress, who has repeatedly attempted suicide, is due to turn 37 on Monday, March 20.
In a post shared to her Instagram Story on Sunday afternoon, March 19, Ruby announced that she would be signing out of her accounts until Tuesday, March 21.
She wrote: “Disconnect until the 21st. If you’ve been following me long enough you know I don’t recognize tomorrow.
“I don’t celebrate this day… This day was never a celebration. Some tried but it was never a party then, and it isn’t now either.
“So please leave it to me this year.”
It’s unclear why the model no longer celebrates her birthday, although she has hosted parties with friends and family in the past.
In 2019, Ruby celebrated her birthday with friends including her former Batwoman co-star Rachel Skarsten and You actress Elizabeth Lail.
