Everton have confirmed Allan’s signing from Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates.

The Brazilian midfielder, who joined the Toffees from Napoli for £21million two years ago, has not played for Frank Lampard’s Premier League side this season. He fell down the pecking order at the Merseyside club after Lampard signed three new midfield signings in the summer.

Allan went through his agreed medical and personal terms with Al Wahda over the weekend before finalizing his contract on Sunday.

The Merseyside club issued the following statement on Twitter: “Paperwork was completed today for Allan to join Al Wahda on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee. Good luck, Allan.

Then followed up with the following message on their website: ‘Allan has joined United Arab Emirates club Al Wahda on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.

“Documents for the Brazilian midfielder were finalized on Tuesday. Allan is moving to the Abu Dhabi side, with the UAE transfer window open until October 4.

“The 31-year-old joined Everton in September 2020 from Serie A side Napoli and has made 57 appearances for the Blues.

‘Allan, who has 10 caps for Brazil, began his career in his native country with Vasco da Gama before moving to Italy in 2012 for three seasons with Udinese.

“Everton thanks Allan for his service and wishes him the best for the future.”

Al Wahda also wrote on Twitter: “Welcome Allan to the house of champions.”

The club added: ‘Al Wahda Football Club has signed Brazilian player Alan Marcos, on a permanent transfer deal from English club Everton and a two-season deal, as part of the the club’s efforts to bolster the first-team ranks. and meet the requirements for success.

“The club’s board of directors have welcomed the player ‘Alan’ into the house of champions, wishing him success in his career with the team.

“For his part, ‘Alan’ praised the professional work in completing the contract procedures, expressing his happiness at joining the homeland of champions, and his desire to contribute to achieving more achievements and victories.”
