Elon Musk will get a ‘lesson’ on Ukraine’s peace plans, Global Times China editor says
Hu Xijin, editor of state-backed Chinese publication The Global Times, promised Elon Musk would be given a lesson to share his controversial views on how to end the war in Ukraine.
Musk took to Twitter to detail how he thinks the conflict between Russia and Ukraine can be resolved.
He said of his own world peace solution: “Most likely that will be the end result – just a matter of how many people will die before that.
Musk’s suggestions include:
- Redo the elections of the annexed regions under the supervision of the UN. Russia leaves if that is the will of the people.
- Crimea is officially part of Russia, as it has been since 1783 (until Khrushchev’s mistake).
- Crimean water supply assured.
- Ukraine remains neutral.
However, the suggestions didn’t go over well with many. Global Times China editor Hu Xijin took to Twitter to warn that Musk would be given “a lesson”.
“Elon Musk has exposed his character too much and he believes too much in the ‘freedom of expression’ of the United States and the West,” Hu wrote on Twitter.
“He’s going to get a lesson.”
Musk’s tweet comes after Vladimir Putin praised the billionaire for his “positive comments” on the invasion.
Following Musk’s latest controversial tweet, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted his own tweet asking, “Which @elonmusk do you like the most?” Whoever supports Russia or whoever supports Ukraine.
More than 79% voted for Musk who supports Ukraine.
