EFCC arrests suspected currency speculator
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arrested a Mustapha Muhammed alias Muaspaha Naira, a suspected currency speculator.
EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren in a Tuesday, November 15 statement said the arrest was part of his ongoing operation to clean up the forex industry and rid it of speculators and all shades of economic saboteurs.
The suspect was arrested by Commission officers on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in Area 4 of Wuse, the hub of parallel market operations in the Federal Capital Territory.
The suspect has made a helpful statement as the investigation continues.
